This article is far too important to just place on my sidebar and hope that you read it. I found it this morning in the NY Times (the nation's best, although unprofitable) newspaper. The article is called "In Defense of Teasing" (click the name to follow the link). As someone who has been accused of teasing once or twice, I maintain that teasing is good and offer this article as proof.
And to my dear wife, I repeat the words of Benedick to Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing: "Thou and I are too wise to woo peaceably."
