I woke up yesterday to snow on the mountains, making my walk to work rather brisk. Although the leaves have yet to change, fall is upon us. So in the spirit of fall (and to buy us time on this blog until we get some sleep) I am embedding my favorite song about fall -- Waters of March. As you all know, the song was written by Antonio Carlos Jobim, a Brazilian. And for those lacking 4th grade geography skills, March in South America is fall.
We saw this performance on Legends of Jazz. In Colorado, it played Saturday nights on PBS. We insist that you watch it religiously. A far more sultry version of this song by Jane Monheit can be found here. The lyrics are here.
